NEC3
ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT (ECC)
RISK REGISTER AND EARLY WARNINGS

Join our Experienced Practitioner, Mr Francois Spies (Fellow), online, as part of the Association’s ongoing mission to provide regular upskilling opportunities for everyone interested in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), and better construction contract management in general.

About this Workshop

The NEC3 suite of construction contracts seeks to incorporate best practice and practical project management techniques into its contract administration and management procedures.

The Risk Register and Early Warning mechanisms are often misunderstood and, accordingly, not always used as intended.

Besides the obvious benefit which active risk identification and management will have on project delivery, there are also ties to how compensation events are to be assessed, which are linked back to the notification of early warnings by the Contractor.

This workshop will explain the practical application and intended use, as well as lead the participants through the contractual mechanisms and links to clarify the intended benefits, and contractual obligations, as related.
