About this Workshop

The team will be looking at the latest developments in adjudication for dispute resolution, comparing it with adjudication in other jurisdictions and international locations, tackling some challenging questions around smash and grab adjudications, as well as other recent updates.

Expert Speakers

  • Mr Damian James of Damian James Delan and Quantum Experts – Damian is an International Fellow (FAArb) of the Association of Arbitrators (Southern Africa) NPC and is a leading expert in the area of quantum, delay, disruption and cost evaluation.  He has been appointed as advocate in international arbitrations and as expert in adjudications around the world.  Project and arbitration locations have included the UAE, South Africa and other African states and the UK. He is widely experienced in engineering and construction claims and dispute resolution.  He has particular expertise in the preparation of detailed claims to recover client entitlements.
  • Mr Adam Beaumont of Exchange Chambers – Adam previously worked at three international law firms as an employed barrister.  He has extensive experience acting for clients in complex, high-value matters.  Adam has particular expertise in construction disputes, commercial litigation,  ADR,  professional negligence and insurance.
  • Mr David Sawtell of 39 Essex Chambers – David specialises in substantial construction, infrastructure, and related disputes.  He is an acknowledged expert in building safety disputes.  His work frequently has an international edge, as well as construction and property disputes in different jurisdictions.
